-When people hear the word ‘purity’ they often think abstaining from sexual relationships. But that is not the only kind of purity.

-Purity: the state of being pure (Webstar)
***Pure: free from moral fault and guilt (Webstar)

-So when we practice purity, we’re not just avoiding sexual temptations but all temptations, any and everything that goes against the Word of God.

“How can a young person stay pure? by obeying your word and following its rules.”
-Psalm 119:9 (New Living Translation)

-We live in a world where impurity runs rampant. Temptation is everywhere, no one can hide from being tempted. But in every temptation the Lord will provide a way of escape (1 Corinthians 10:13).

“I have hidden Your Word in my heart, that I might not sin against You.”
-Psalm 119:11 (New Living Translation)

-God’s Word is the key to our purity. His Word gives us the strength and wisdom needed to overcome temptation. We have to do more than just read the scriptures. We have to obey them and apply them to our lives.
